MindLock ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the MindLock mobile application.

1. Information Collection and Use

MindLock is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not require you to create an account to use the basic features of the app.

•Personal Data: We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) like your name, email address, or phone number.

•Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., session length) to improve app performance, but this is never linked to your identity.

2. Accessibility Service API (Crucial)

MindLock uses the Accessibility Service API to provide the core app-blocking and focus-enhancement features.

•Purpose: We use this service to detect when a "distracting" app (selected by you) is being moved to the foreground. This allows us to display a focus reminder screen.

•Data Privacy: We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit any data from the Accessibility Service. We do not monitor your keystrokes, screen content, or any private interactions. This service is used exclusively to trigger the "Pause & Reflect" screen.

3. Permissions

•Usage Stats: Used to calculate your "Dopamine Score" and track screen time locally on your device.

•Internet: Used for serving ads (via Google AdMob) and basic analytics.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Google AdMob to show advertisements. AdMob may use your advertising ID to provide personalized ads. You can manage these settings in your Google Account.

5. Data Security

Your data (focus sessions, journal entries, and app settings) is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your personal journal entries.
